Describe the last time you were surprised by the intensity of a feeling you had about something, or were surprised at how strongly you reacted to something you thought wouldn’t be a big deal.

On our last relocation, in the midst of unpacking moving boxes, I realized the lawn needed to be cut. I needed to establish a relationship with a lawn care company because I never mow my own grass. And this home had over an acre of yard to mow. So first call went like this:
Day 1: Called number of lawn care company. Got answering machine. “Hi, you have reached Jon’s Lawn Care. Your call is very important to us so please leave your number at the beep and we will return your call as soon as possible.”
Day 2: “Hi, you have reached Jon’s Lawn Care. Your call is very important to us so please leave your number at the beep and we will return your call as soon as possible.”
Day 3: “Hi, you have reached Jon’s Lawn Care. Your call is very important to us so please leave your number at the beep and we will return your call as soon as possible.”
Day 4: “Hi, you have reached Jon’s Lawn Care. Your call is very important to us so please leave your number at the beep and we will return your call as soon as possible.”
Me: “WELL IF MY CALL IS SO DAMN IMPORTANT TO YOU WHY HAVEN’T YOU HAD THE DECENTLY TO RETURN MY FRIGGIN CALL.”
p.s. They did call back two weeks later. My wife talked to them. Lucky for them.

Hahaha! Some of us are better at doing stuff like that. Especially women, I guess. Good job.

Nooooo!!! But it was very kindhearted of you to still entertain them after two weeks! Did you give them a clue how frustrating it was to wait so long?
