I don’t want to go out on a wing, but I bet Erick won’t live to be thirty.
His life has been one big disappoint after another.
It’s just not his destiny to succeed with this adventure.
Oh Danny Boy! 
Maybe he’ll get another chance at adventure in the afterlife. I liked how this read.
