This post is written for Friday Fictioneers. The challenge is to write a complete story with a beginning, middle and end in 100 words or less using the picture prompt below.

“So glad you could join me for brunch Jo. It is a little off the beaten path as you have surmised. L et’s call it “rustic”. My late husband Earl was the head of ground keeping here. Hard to find good help these days. I think this time of day works well for showcasing what he accomplished. Well I should put that in the past tense shouldn’t I dearest. The tea here is to die for. Well actually the tea is what killed him. Look sharp! Some nasty branches there. Don’t trip. Wouldn’t want to name a tea after you do we?”
Fun story!

A very sinister story. Watch out for that tea. I think Jo needs to go.

Kinda creepy, but fun, too. Like “Arsenic and Old Lace.”

Is the tea they’re going to drink by any chance an Earl Grey?

There is nothing like a cup of tea and a chat. Although, the subject seems a bit morbid.

Sounds like a dangerous mission having tea. Well done.
