Getting Acquainted

This post is written for Friday Fictioneers. The challenge is to write a complete story with a beginning, middle and end in 100 words or less using the picture prompt below.

“So glad you could join me for brunch Jo. It is a little off the beaten path as you have surmised. L et’s call it “rustic”. My late husband Earl was the head of ground keeping here. Hard to find good help these days. I think this time of day works well for showcasing what he accomplished. Well I should put that in the past tense shouldn’t I dearest. The tea here is to die for. Well actually the tea is what killed him. Look sharp! Some nasty branches there. Don’t trip. Wouldn’t want to name a tea after you do we?”
