RDP: Optimist

I asked our tour guide in Argentina if he thought I could complete the 5 mile glacier walk in under two hours. He’s an optimist.

I did by the way. My trekking outfit included four pair of pants (underpants, insulated underwear, slacks and rain pants). The last 400 yards seemed like an eternity. I never felt so tired and elated at the same time when we reached our room back at the lodge.
