It was Christmas morning.
His job was to vacuum the floors and clean the bathrooms.
Her job was to finish the preparations for the meal.
Eight people were coming.
The floors were not finished.
The meal was not going to be done on time.
They both glared at each other.
The situation grew increasingly acrimonious.
Oh Danny Boy! 
At least they knew how many to panic for. 🙂 Nice one, Danny.
