LITERATURE QUOTE:

Today you are you!
That is truer than true!
There is no one alive who is you-er than you!

As Jim dragged himself from his meeting his sponsor joined him in a walk to his car.

“It’s Ok Jim. A lot of us have experienced what you just went through.”

“But I was doing so well. Last week I picked up my blue chip and now I have to start over again”

“Look at it this way. After a year did you like the you in the mirror.

“Yes”

“Do you like the you today?”

“I feel terrible. I feel like I let you, my sponsor, down along with the entire fellowship”

“It didn’t take long after you relapsed to revert to the old terrible  you, did it?

“No I thought I could have just one but that led to three and eventually back to my old drunken ways”

“Well tonight  you picked up  another  white chip. It means you want the new you and not that terrible person you were before. I think you will make it this time.”

  4. I have seen this before in people. Only ones I know at a distance though, no one close. I can understand though and this tells it perfectly.
