This post is in response to the Daily Post Photo Challenge of “Broken.” I took this picture of a mural on a building wall in Derry, Northern Ireland. The conflict which became know as the “Troubles” started in Derry with the Battle of the Bogside also known as “Bloody Sunday.” British soldiers shot 26 unarmed civilians during a protest march against internment. Fourteen people died.

This photo was taken on April 17th, 2011 after a Tornado ripped through our neighborhood. The little barn was right across the street from our home.
