This post is written for Friday Fictioneers.

We had planned this little getaway for months. Finding a “senior living facility” that we were comfortable with and could afford was becoming quite a challenge.
Bob and Sue had graciously let us use their home for our search in rural Maine. Arriving the night before in a light rain we planned to visit two facilities today.
The “light rain” the night before had become a flood overnight. We knew there would be challenges in finding our new home but never realized getting there would be one.
Welcome back to FF, Danny. Good story and seems more real than not.

Oooof. At least they get a chance to see things in rainy conditions in the area before making a decision.

This summer was such a test for Florida residents. I know a few people who have moved. We are getting too old to have to ‘hunker down’ for these storms. Good luck looking.
