1. Do you consider friends an extension of your family?
In my case no. I would have a different answer if I were younger. Having no immediate family makes that question easy to answer.
2. Would you confide in a friend more than you would a family member?
Yes. I would feel more comfortable confiding in a friend. Somehow I feel they would be less judgemental than a family member.
3. How long have you known your best friend?
Approximately 60 years! Since high school. But now only contact is via Facebook and very infrequent visit. We live far apart.
4. Do you believe distance has a negative effect on friendships?
Not in my case.

Thanks for joining in Danny. My bestie is 200 miles away though we have a couple of good friends here in our neighbours. Hubby has no family and mine is scattered with which I have little contact.
