You always told me you wanted to know your birth parents. There is no doubt that you have found them. The DNA test proved it.
Now for the first time in over fifty years you actually know what your family looks like. There’s your mother smiling from that photo. The mother that left you on a neighbors door step over 50 years ago. Those are pictures of the people in her life after she left you. She even started a new family on the west coast and actually named her first daughter after you.
And not a single picture of you.
Of course now I would love to know the story behind that young mom leaving her child for someone else to rear. It may be the biggest favor she could have done for her baby.

That would be rough to find out. At least the person was given up for adoption so they could have a good life. It might have been very hard for the birth mother and she just wanted to have a new life herself when she matured. A good story, Danny. — Suzanne

It’s human nature, it seems, to be compelled to uncover the truth about our past, no matter how difficult the result of knowing is. Very sad story, and unfortunately true for many. Well written.

Such a sad reality, how humans hurt each other. The young always suffer the worst.

Finding answers to your past aren’t always happy ones.
Sad but speaks of reality. Nicely done …

Why? This is the universal question that haunts so many people who once grown want to know why they were abandoned babies. Maybe some will never know.

You are right. First hand knowledge. What was wrong with me!

It seems her mother replaced her. Sad.

Dear Danny,
While we hear about the happy endings to these kinds of stories, how many of them don’t end so happy? Nicely done.

I wonder if it was worth finding their true family? Good take.

She was expecting the Ozzie and Harriet family. She finds a dysfunctional one.
