A Costly Mistake

I found the drug on the internet.

It was  one tenth what it would cost in the U.S.

And they would accept credit cards.

What a deal!

The prearranged meeting was set up at a local cafe.

It went something like out of a spy movie.

I was told to buy a local newspaper and enter the cafe at exactly nine in the morning.

Order water with lemon and a black coffee.

Someone would sit beside me.

The stranger would whisper “hand me the package, I will meet you out back.”

It’s been thirty minutes now. Everything is quiet.

  1. Oh no. He’s been had. It’s so easy for the scammers and even the most astute sometimes let their guard down and get caught. He’d better order something stronger now. Well told.
